Art Farm of a Country Woman

Painting My World with My Heart~

Amazingly it’s getting to be that time of year. The men are pruning the vineyard, grass is growing from the few rains we’ve had, a warm sun is shining and there are wildflowers popping up all over!

A small offering…

What can we do but keep on breathing in and out, modest and willing, and in our places? ~Mary Oliver

Beautiful as the earth begins to breath a freshness to the land again.

I agree… i love this time of year when the wild things begin to bloom… i was looking at the poppies today and the clumps are huge already! Hoping for a wonderful bright orange hillside! 😉

That would be awesome! Our temps to be 80 today then back down to the 50’s, Spring is starting to show. Happy Wednesday!

  2. We still have a chunk of winter to go through but I remember when I lived in northern Marin that I was gardening in February. Nice thought.😍

    1. ĽAdelaide says:

Love the little guy emo 🙂

Yes, we are just north of there, just north of novato so you are well-familiar with what we have here. I am already stressing over my roses and how they needed pruning started almost a month ago.

Very nice to see a vision of springtime. Here it’s snowing but the good news is we’re now a month past the long dark and the days are noticeably longer. Much love to you and very good health.

    1. ĽAdelaide says:

Thank you, my dear Susan… so sorry to hear it is snowing there but not surprised given the news reports of that awful snowstorm in New England. It is nice to have the days getting longer, no more long winter darkness after 7AM! I detest that and crave the light.

And thank you for your wishes…. things are going pretty well here excepting my extreme fatigue, something i expected. Pain is getting better!! I have a very sore ulcer according to the surgeon that is slowing the healing in the lower site but otherwise, going well…. and it’s nice to have the family here. xox

Ah, the loveliness…not a small offering – a most enchanting one! Thank you for new life.

    1. ĽAdelaide says:

I’m happy my offering brought you joy, ann-christine! A very kind comment, thank you. xxx

      1. Leya says:

And you are a sweet rose, my dear.

  5. Steve E says:

Wow – you are way ahead of us here in NC… Thanks for sharing this!

    1. ĽAdelaide says:

Yes, we are much warmer here compared to NC! I’m always glad to see your words here and glad you enjoyed this post. 😉

  6. Yeah I saw this and the one where the cat protected a guy in a wheelchair or the one chasing a bear. They know who and what they are. Thanks for reminding of me of kitty and dog.

    1. ĽAdelaide says:

      You are very welcome !

  7. Mel says:

Oh, what a nice thing to look forward to. I say this, looking out the window, at the three foot drift covering the drive. Stuck at home to do my work. LOL You can see how much I’m getting done! 😉
Thanks for giving me the promise of spring.
    Darn groundhog took that away.

3 feet??!!! REally, I don’t know how people who live in snow country can take all that white/gray/dirty snow for months after months…. seems this season has been very bad but you can never believe the news/weather reports. I believe yours!! Glad you get to be at home working anyway…. seems nice to me. Yeah, the groundhog knows all… 😉
